  Blog post 2 checklist

  • 3 similes or metaphors
  • Text is quoted with the page number
  • You explain what the simile/metaphor means in your own words
  • Picture(s) optional

Example:

On page 14 Taro was having problems with a bully when a friendly soldier stopped the bully and admonished Taro to stay away from this man.  The soldier said "he is a wasp in autumn, he stings without reason."  This a metaphor that means the man gets aggravated for no reason.  You can see that he is always hitting kids and picking on people for no reason.
